Don Bosco Youth Centre, Vaduthala, conducted the Membership Day on August, 15, 2022. The membership day celebration started with the Holy Mass at 9 a.m. at Thattazham Chapel. DBYC members took the lead in organizing the Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Saju Antony was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Shibu Davis & Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Shasthamkala concelebrated.
At 10.30 a.m., a rally was held from Fr. Francis Guest Memorial Hall to the DBYC Hall, followed by the formal function at 11 a.m. Honourable Justice B. Kemal Pasha (Retd. Judge, High Court of Kerala) was the Chief Guest. The patriotic dance performed by the CLC members added colour and vitality to the programme. After the formal programme, the groups dispersed for the election.
Mr. C.J. Joseph & Mr. Anooj P.S. were elected unanimously as the General Secretary and Joint General Secretary of the Youth Centre for 2022-23. A group photo session was organized with the newly elected leaders & animators immediately after the election. Solemn lunch for the central committee members followed. The first formal central committee meeting was held in the IYDC Hall at 3.30 p.m.
This year around 750 members renewed their membership at DBYC Vaduthala, and pledged to continue their valuable work for the service of the community.
