Vaduthala: The festive spirit of Onam came alive in Vaduthala as Don Bosco Youth Centre organized a four-day extravaganza called “Vaduthalolsavam 2023” from 27th to 30th of August. The event, which transcended caste and creed, aimed to unite the people of Vaduthala in a grand celebration of the harvest festival.
Thousands of residents from Vaduthala flocked to the event, transforming it into a vibrant and joyous affair. The program, held from 27th August, encompassed a range of activities that showcased the cultural heritage of the community.
The highlight of the celebration was the Cultural Evening, where participants dazzled on stage with music, dance, and theatrical performances. The talents of Vaduthala’s residents were on full display, with mesmerizing acts captivating the audience. The rich cultural diversity of the region was celebrated with grace and splendor.
As part of the festivities, a Goshayathra procession was organized, symbolizing unity and harmony among the residents. People from all walks of life, irrespective of their background, came together to walk through the streets of Vaduthala, adding a vibrant touch to the event. The atmosphere was filled with jubilation and camaraderie.
Additionally, the program included Pukkala Mathasaram and Vadamvali Mathasaram competitions. These traditional games not only entertained the participants but also brought back cherished memories of childhood and reinforced the community’s cultural roots.
