Don Bosco Youth Forum, Thope, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Thangassery, celebrated the International Girl Child.
Dr. R. Sandhya, Deputy DMO, inaugurated the event. Dr. Cynthia Mendez, FCDP Chairperson, presided over the event.
Dr. Sandhya distributed the certificates to all those who completed training in the Jan Shikshan Sansthan Computer Course. Ms. Agnes (President, Theeradesha Mahila Society), Mr. Vipin Kumar (President, Rotary Club, Thangassery), and Fr. Joby (Director, Fishermen Community Development Programme) felicitated the celebration.
The inaugural function was followed by an awareness class on the health and hygiene of girl children conducted by Ms. Anjali Jose and Ms. Anisha Chacko.
More than 50 girls from Don Bosco Youth Forum participated in the event.
