International Day against Drug Abuse observed by Don Bosco College, Mampetta and DREAM Kozhikode

Don Bosco College, Drug Rehabilitation, Education and Mentoring (DREAM) and IQAC, Calicut Campus jointly organized a rally to observe the International Day against Drug Abuse. The rally aimed to raise awareness against the use of drugs and the adverse impact of drug abuse on society.

The rally was flagged off from Sacred Heart Church by Mr. Shamsuddin, Fire Station Officer, Mukkam and the students of Don Bosco College and Don Bosco ITI participated in it. The rally ended at Mukkam Bus Stand, where the students organized a flash mob.

The formal programme began with a welcome speech by Abhishek Emmanuel, Anti-drug Cell Student Coordinator. Rev. Fr. Jeeson Nelluvelil, Director, Don Bosco College, presided over the programme and P.T. Babu, Chairman, Mukkam Municipality, inaugurated the programme. The Chief Guest for the programme was Kanchana Kottangal, Social Worker. Adv. Chandini (Deputy Chairperson, Mukkam), Shafiq Ali T. (Civil Excise Officer, Kundamangalam), Satyanarayanan (Educational Standing Committee Chairperson, Mukkam) and K. V. Vijayan (Vice Principal, Don Bosco College) also shared their messages on anti-drug awareness. Rev. Fr. Joby M. Abraham (Principal, Don Bosco College) read the pledge. Rev. Fr. Joby Kanimattathil (District Director, DREAm Kozhikode) proposed the vote of thanks.
