The Don Bosco Youth Center Membership Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and solemnity on the evening of 26th August 2025 at 8:00 PM. The event witnessed the induction of 30 new members into the vibrant youth community. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Fr. Rubin SDB, the Director of the Don Bosco Youth Centre, who expressed his joy at the growing involvement of young people in the centre’s activities and the values it upholds.
The presidential address was delivered by Fr. Cyril, the Rector of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy. He spoke about the importance of youth engagement in building a responsible and value-based society, highlighting the legacy and mission of Don Bosco. The event was formally inaugurated by Fr. Tomy Chirackal, Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mannuthy. In his address, he emphasized the role of the youth centre in nurturing leadership and service among the younger generation. Fr. Jimmy, Principal of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, offered felicitations and encouraged the new members to actively participate in the centre’s initiatives and continue the spirit of Don Bosco in all their endeavours. A significant part of the program was the oath-taking ceremony, where the newly inducted members and other pledged their commitment to the principles and vision of the youth centre. The ceremony marked a meaningful beginning for the 30 new members who joined the centre on this occasion. The event also included the election of the new Executive Members, who will lead the youth centre activities for the coming term. The election was conducted in an orderly and democratic manner, ensuring the representation of all members. The Membership Day concluded on a positive and hopeful note, with a renewed spirit of unity, commitment, and enthusiasm among all the members.
